4,000 is a big number!
For those of you who have been reading this blog for some time you probably understand where I am going with this. I recently hit my 4,000 km running mark, and I have to admit that that is a lot of kilometres run. I am so proud of myself for being so close to hitting that magical 5,000km mark. But I have to be honest with you. I didn’t actually realize that I broke 4,000 km until after I did it. I have been so busy with life and getting things ready for Christmas that when I had a few minutes to think about it and realize that I must be getting close to that big round number I found out I had actually passed it. Oh well!
So here are my fun statistics!
- 4,019km run since January 2010
- run 10% of the way around the world
- ran a total of 539.84 hours
- powered 7,412 TVs (not sure how that works)
- burned 95 lbs of 1,805 donuts
- destroyed 6 pairs of running shoes (3 I can still use if I rotate but I’m due for new ones)
- ran 3 half-marathons and 1 full marathon and countless smaller races (my guess is 8)
- in 2012 I ran 1,620km
I am still in awe of what I have managed to do. I know I will hit my 5,000th km next year and this is just unbelievable. I never thought I would manage to accomplish this, and now I know I can do anything. Don’t mind me while I do my little happy dance.
- Loads of fun!
