Wowie it’s been a while.
I just looked back over my running for the last while and today was my longest run since my half-marathon in April. No wonder my legs feel like jello! A 14.1km hill run is comparable to a 21km flat run any day AND it was the first time running on half of those hills. Part of them are in my 6.4 and 5.2km routes but some of them were new but what a workout! I did the hill run with my coworker friend and it felt invigorating! My friend is a hardcore runner (see her blog here) and she inspires me all the time. I jogged for the first 1/4 of the run without a rest because I wanted to make sure she had a decent workout. In total I think I walked for between 5 and 10 minutes for the whole run which for me is just amazing! I’m so proud but I already know I’m going to hurt tomorrow! And on another positive note all fears of being up tomorrow are gone. I can deal with a small weight increase if I can run those hills! No biggie! Wonder what I’ll manage to run this weekend! 🙂
