Crazy, crazy, crazy weeks!
Wowza! I promise that I am still here blogger people. I have had one crazy week and now in the next 7 days of work, I have 6 meetings. I usually have 2 or 3 a month so 6 in such a short time is ridiculous!! I don’t always mind meetings but I have to take minutes for 4 of them, plus I have my daycare minutes to worry about, and three of them conflict with my advising, so for a week of it I’m an advisor who can’t advise. Luckily this week is reading week so that is keeping things a bit quieter for me and means no students come to my door.
This weekend was busy too. My hubby had a race (which he rocked) and the girlies and I visited my mom. It was nice that she got to see her grandbabies for a few days. Katrina is still unsure of her Oma, while Lillian is just crazy about her. It’s funny to watch Lillian run and jump on my mom’s lap and then see Katrina try to sneak past her without being spotted. She goes so far as to squish herself in between things to not be seen by my mom. Even chocolate was not enough to get her to stay near her. Guess my mother will have to visit more so Katrina gets used to her. She always has been a suspicious little thing.
In other Katrina news we took her to the doctor because of her never ending cough and my poor little peanut has pneumonia. She’s on anti-biotics now and is starting to act more like herself, but I admit I feel a little bad that I didn’t bring her in sooner. I just figured she had a daycare bug, but apparently not. At least she is starting to act more like her and not skipping all her meals, not sleeping (weeks of waking up followed by 2 nights of solid sleep is heavenly), randomly spiking fevers, and only wanting to be held. The evil smile reappeared today, and I have to say I am happy and really missed it!
Enjoy some photos of my peanut trying to put her winter snow suit on a teddy bear. I had to help but it made her so happy!
