A post about love!
Today is Valentine’s Day and while the whole commercial holiday part of it seems a little bit lame to me it is also my mommy’s birthday and no one loves you more than your mommy and she teaches you how to love, so a post about love is still very appropriate!
There are many things in this world that I love! I love my girls because they are an extension of me. They are that part of me that will live on, and that holds my heart and my soul forever. I can’t imagine life without them and would give my life for theirs. There is no love in this world like that of a mother for her children.
I love my husband. He stands by me through everything and supports me in all my silly dreams and crazy ideas! Last year was a bit of struggle but with a bright new attitude this year has been amazing so far. He’s following his dreams and I am so proud of him for all of it. I don’t know many men who work a full time job and a part time job and a second part time job and are training for a marathon. He is an amazing man, and I am so blessed to have found him (and I thank God everyday for him) and have convinced him to marry me!
I love my mommy! She is an amazing strong woman and the reason I turned out the way I did. She taught me to endure and fight for what I want. I’m sure some people wish she hadn’t taught me quite so well, but she did. She worked two and three jobs when I was little and my parents divorced to take me to Disney world (twice) and help put me through university. She made sure I came out debt free, and always had food and a strong work ethic. Now I have a family and am working hard to teach these values to my girls and you know Oma is there to make sure to drive it home if they miss the point!
Lastly, I just love my life right now. I love the time I have with my family. I love the pain leaving my hip that is letting me run again. I love my beautiful house, even if we have the same furniture we did in university (except the dining room table and bed frame and kid room furniture). I love the yoga studio I found, and that you can do it while pregnant so I won’t have to quit when that happens. I love my job and that I can do what I love. And I just love being happy and I feel so blessed by it all.
So that’s my little rant on LOVE! I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day whether or not you celebrate it!
