Kickboxing kicked my butt!
But in a good way. I have to say I’m feeling it today, though not as much as last year when I went for the first time ever. That just goes to show you how much fitter I am now, and how much stronger my legs have gotten. Go me. I do feel it in the muscles where I had to squat and kick since those don’t get used so much in running and also in my lower back from the twisting and turning to punch. But it’s all sore from being pushed, not hurting like I did something wrong so I will live with it. I don’t mind the hard workout pain.
In more exciting news I’m going to buy a running watch next week. Woot! I found out the Garmin Forerunner 405 is on sale (with a coupon) at Costco next week and I happen to have that coupon. So I plan to swing by on Monday and pick myself up one. They are crazy expensive but since I’m so crazy about running I feel it’s a good investment. I also LOVE to track my stats so this will help with that a lot. Isn’t it pretty! I just hope that they have black in stock so I’m not stuck with the ugly green one. I also have another hill training run planned for next week with my friend and I can’t wait. I love the hill runs. They make me feel alive and knowing that I am doing the actual hills I’ll be running in October rocks!
