Training Tuesday – Week 18
As you can tell from the chart below, this week was a rest week and I took full advantage of it!
Maybe it was because I pushed myself so hard at my final boot camps or maybe it was because my husband was gone on business for the week and I was crazy sleep deprived or maybe because I had so much to do with all the crazy things happening this week (like power outages for three hours), but I was just exhausted by my Saturday evening run, so I ended up cutting it short. A whole 5km short to be honest, but such is life, and I’m okay with that.
I have to admit that I am starting to feel a little nervous about my race in April. I want to do well and even though I’ve been rocking the kms during this training (running over 550km during my training) and also doing a lot of speed and tempo runs I am still feeling like I haven’t done enough to prepare. Over the next few weeks I’m hoping to push myself harder and get extra distance in but I need to avoid doing so much that I exhaust myself. Let’s see what next week brings.
