Thinning Thursday – Scale Wars
So this week I got up to weigh myself and I was shocked with what I saw. My scale read 158.2 lbs. I stepped off and then back on again and there it was. 158.2lbs! I have to admit I was expecting a loss this week but not 2.6 pounds! Great googalie moogalie! That was 13 little beads that moved into my ‘lost’ jar. But best of all? Steve only dropped 2.4lbs this week which means I lost more than my husband! Hehe!
“Was I worth all this work?” — “Hell YES!” |
I will admit that I was a little bit disappointed last week when I didn’t hit the 150’s so I took that as extra incentive to work harder this week. I ran more in the past week than I have in any week since Katrina was born. I stopped having so many easy 5k treadmill runs and moved them outside and increased them to 5-10k runs. I ate really healthy, and managed to get through all my weekly points, but still treated myself on Thursday to dinner at my coach’s house and Saturday for a date with my husband.
I’m actually still in shock about the weigh in. At this weight I am exactly 10 lbs away from my lightest weight ever in my adult life and 9.8lbs away from my post-Lillian weight. How crazy is that! I know I shouldn’t be surprised because I work hard, and eat healthy and am doing everything right, but back in December when I was slacking a little bit and not working hard enough, I worried that I would never get here and see the 150’s. But hard work pays off so here I am.
So now I get to play the statistics game! You all know how much I love my math! I have lost 71.6% of my weigh to get to my 145 goal weight. If we’re looking at my post baby weight, I’m at 77.4% of the way. I am so excited. This past week has been amazing! I managed to fit into my (skinny) size 10 jeans, I ran more than any other week, and I spent a lot of special time with my itty bitty while Lillian was with Oma.

- Friday funnies.
Wow! Congrats on all that you’ve lost so far. And you’re so close to your goal. Absolutely amazing.
Oh man. I can’t wait to start working out again and losing this baby weight! I’m keeping the grand total of weight gain a secret till after I deliver but I hope to get back to the 150’s as quickly and as safely as possible.
Keep it up!
