The journey of a thousand steps
started today!
Dress for Lillian that I sewed alone! |
Today is my first day of my 22 weeks of marathon training, and I was assigned a rest day. And let me tell you that the rest day was hard! We were a very busy little household today, including going shopping at Costco, visiting the local park, putt putting around the yard, and sewing Lillian’s little dress. Tomorrow will be my first tempo run and I’m looking forward to it. I have high hopes that it will go well, though I also hope that my heal won’t be so sore again, but I’ll be running outside regardless! The goal is to get up with the baby, nurse her, eat a small bowl of oatmeal and head out while my husband stays home with the girls. Then once I’m home I’ll get to shower and take over baby duties. I ran early on Saturday, granted 9am is not 7am but I figured I had to start somewhere!
So now I’ve managed to get enough food to last us for the week, and had a wonderful day with my girls. I’ve only got 15 days left at home with my girls and I want to make every single day count! This way if I manage to get my runs over with in the morning I can spend the rest of the day with my babies!
