Things that make me happy!

So today has been an amazing day. I can’t even tell you how wonderful today has been. I’ve had a few rough days lately and today Steve was just the perfect husband and I love him for it! If every day could be like today I would be the happiest woman alive. I managed to run my lovely 26km run with 5km at race pace. I had a bit of tired legs and soreness to begin with so that was a bit of a challenge for me but I’m thrilled that I pushed on and got it done. I tried out my coach’s water backpack today and I liked having 2 litres of water with me, but I didn’t like the 2kg weight on my back or the fact that the the sippy part kept moving around and was driving me crazy bouncing around.

After that we headed out to the mall and enjoyed ice cream as a family and wandered around the mall. We managed to buy new metal water bottles for the girls, Lillian rode the mall ride without crying, we picked up a few things at the grocery store, and found my first birthday present for Lillian too. We let Lillian push Katrina around the mall in the stroller too so when we were driving home she actually fell asleep in the car. Let me tell you, she wasn’t very happy about being woken up once we got home either! After we got back Steve headed out for a run, and I fed the girls before making our dinner. We had shrimp wraps with soup, and honestly I am loving my homemade shrimp wraps. I think I’ve eaten about 10 of them this week! Mmmmm!

So here are a few things that made me happy in the past few days! We got balloons on Friday from my coworker who was celebrating her 25th year in the department so someone filled her office with balloons. With 125 balloons she was desperate to get rid of some of them, and my babies were happy to have them!

I also found my lovely little lady reading today. She’s often reading but she carried these particular books down the stairs both under one arm and looked like a big girl and not my little preschooler! So I loved being able to take her photo looking so grown up while still being my baby!
